What time are services?

Sunday School/Adult Bible Study starts at 9:30 AM and is available for all ages.

Our Sunday Morning Worship service starts at 10:30 AM and the evening service at 6 PM.

We also have services on Wednesday evenings for children and adults.

Where is the church located?

We are located at 79 Memorial Dr. in Jefferson. Our driveway is between the bank and the orthodontics office.

What should I wear?

When you come to one of our services, you will find people dressed in a wide variety of styles from as casual as jeans, to as formal as suits and dresses.  Of course, all are welcome no matter what the attire; however, we do ask that people dress modestly, in a way that does not draw attention to themselves. We think that what you wear to church should not detract from the worship experience of others around you. We want all of the attention to go to Jesus Christ.

Where can I park?

We have parking available right in front of our sanctuary, as well as around the property.

What are the accommodations for the disabled?

Jackson County Baptist Church is handicap-accessible. Handicap-accessible parking is available near the main entrance.  Our ushers can also assist with any special needs that you may have.

What is available for infants and toddlers?

We have a well-equipped nursery to care for your babies and toddlers.

What children’s programs are available?

During Sunday School, we have classes for children from birth to 6th grade.

During our 10:30 AM Worship Service, we have children’s church programs for birth to 3rd grade.  On Wednesday nights, we offer Awana for ages 3 and up.

What small groups or Sunday School classes are available?

A variety of Sunday School classes, varying in ages and specific stages of life, are available at 9:30 AM. Check out our ministry pages for more details.

What happens when I get to church?

We trust your first visit with us will be a very pleasant one.  While our doors are open to anyone, the safety of our children is extremely important to us, so we ask that all our first time guests fill out a visitor's card when they arrive at our facilities.  At our Welcome Center, located in the foyer of our main auditorium entrance,  you will be greeted by our friendly volunteers who will personally assist you with getting your children to their appropriate class, as well as giving you some overall information regarding our services.

What do I do before the service starts?

If you arrive before the service starts, you will notice that our sanctuary is filled with plenty of comfortable seats. There are no reserved seats, so you may sit anywhere. Many people will be greeting one another during this time.

What are the services like?

Services generally last about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Our worship services are a time of joyful worship and praise, with a variety of traditional songs provided by our choir and special musicians.

What is the pastor’s message like?

Pastor Matt Booher gives Bible-based messages lasting 30-45 minutes. His messages are biblical and applicable to our daily lives.

Do you give public invitations at the end of the service?  What are they like?

At the end of his message, Pastor Booher invites anyone who does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to put their faith in Him. This is also a time for personal prayer with God over changes we may need to make in our lives. Counseling is also available for spiritual needs.

Do I need to donate money when I visit?

Jackson County Baptist Church does believe giving is a Biblical principle and we do encourage it. However, our guests should not feel under any obligation to participate.
